If Everyday was like Christmas

There is a Christmas song that Elvis Presely does, If Everyday was like Christmas, and he says in it, "Oh why can't everyday be like Christmas?"
It got me thinking... yeah. Why can't everyday be like Christmas? Christmas is the time of giving, donating to the poor, seeing your family, remembering Jesus Christ's birth, and time off work to relax. Why can't we do this everyday of the year? Why wait for Christmas? The 25th of December is only a date, and we don't need a certain date to celebrate these things. Why not always cook a turkey dinner for a poor family, why not celebrate Jesus' birth in July? There isn't a time or place for something so special. If it truly is special, you will celebrate it more than one day a year. Lets always bake bread for our neighbor, lets always remember why Jesus Christ was born, lets always see our family, lets always give to the poor, lets always send each other cards.

Bring Christmas year round.

  1. That's a good way of living, like it's Christmas. I think if we celebrated it everyday it wouldn't feel as special, but I get what you mean, good will towards men (and women) should be year round!
    Merry Christmas

  2. I AGREE! We often do a big turkey dinner in the middle of the year...just because.
